Pete Rhodes is the president and CEO of the Urban Mass Media Group, a urban communications and distribution company specializing in entertainment programs, video production, public relations management and events. UMMG is the parent company to BMA Cable Networks a 24 hour multicultural business, music and arts channel 937 and BMA Networks On Demand channel broadcasting to over 500,000 subscribers in Minnesota and western Wisconsin on Comcast.
Pete Rhodes is the founder of the nationally recognized Minnesota Black Music Awards and executive producer and host of top rated , Emmy nominated community affair program Urban Perspectives distributed by WCCO Channel 4.
He has been nominated for a regional Emmy for original video productions and recipient of numerous awards including the Minnesota MLK Arts Award, Kappa Alpha Psi and NAACP Entrepreneur of the Year. His is a member of the Minnesota Monitors social group, a former Minneapolis Arts and Charter commissioner.
Since 1980, Mr. Rhodes has been successful in creating unique projects and programs while contributing to important efforts locally through volunteerism and financial support through his companies. His goal is to be a role model for excellence in business, community and family for his current and future generations.
